The Best Seamless Transitions Plugin for Premiere Pro & After Effects
This new seamless transitions plugin by replayer is a game changer for editors. No longer is it a simple set of project files that you must import into your software each time you start a new project, but it’s now a plugin that you install once. To use, simply move your playhead between two clips, open the plugin, and double click to apply the transition. Better yet, in the Seamless Transition plugin allows you to change the speed of the transitions directly in the panel itself and the transitions will auto-adapt to any resolution you are using in your timeline.
How to Install?
After purchasing the Seamless Transition plugin from Envato Market, you need to download a free .zxp file extension manager to install the plugin. Before you install, be sure to close the Adobe program.
After the installation is complete, open your program (Premiere Pro or After Effects, depends on which plugin you purchased), go to Windows > Extensions > Seamless Transitions.
The Seamless Transitions extension opens as a panel. Each transition is separated into Category Folders so you can easily search for a transition in the search field and also drag your favorites to the quick access area for easy access.
How to use in After Effects?
1. Add your clips into your composition. Trim the clips until the starting clip ends where you want the second clip to begin.
2. Place the comp playhead between the two clips and double click the transition you want to apply. You’ll see that the transition appears as its own pre-composed composition and in orange label color.
3. You will also observe a marker where the cut should be placed - to help you better align the transition.
4. If you see mirroring at the top or bottom of the transition, you can fix that by scaling up the video clips slightly until it disappears.
How to use in Premiere Pro?
1. Similar to After Effects (AE), add your desired clips to your timeline and then move your playhead between the two clips.
2. Double click the desired transition in the seamless transitions panel and the plugin will auto import the transition elements and sound effects into your timeline.
3. Finally, you can then render to see your results. And that’s it!
