Speed Up Your Video Editing with Automation Blocks for Premiere Pro

Welcome, fellow video editors! Today, I want to introduce you to a super handy video editing tool – it is called Automation Blocks. Creating scripts to automate certain editing tasks is something you might be familiar with if you’ve ever crossed into the world of After Effects expressions. However, expressions can be super intimidating, and that’s why Mamoworld created Automation Blocks - to make fast scripts more accessible to Premiere Pro Editors. As you know I am always happy to say goodbye to tedious tasks and hello to efficiency! Let’s jump-on-in.

What is Automation Blocks?

Picture this: an affordable video editing tool that streamlines time-consuming tasks with just a click. Enter Automation Blocks, your trusty sidekick in the world of video editing. Think of it as a treasure trove of ready-to-use building blocks and a playground where you can craft your own custom scripts that can perform tasks for you.

You can try out Automation Blocks with a 10-day trial and after that, it's a one-time purchase—no subscriptions, no strings attached. That’s what we like to see.

Now, while there is literally so much you can do with Automation Blocks, I’m going to show you three things you can do with Automation Blocks for Premiere Pro. First up, instant slideshows.

One-Click Moving Slideshow

Let’s face it: keyframing in Premiere Pro is just is not a pleasant experience. With Automation Blocks, crafting a captivating slideshow is as easy as pie. Simply select your photos (and optional, you can select a music track, and click “run.” Then, voila! Watch in awe as your photos come to life with smooth Ken Burns movement without the keyframe hassle. Need your slideshow in 9:16 for social media? No problem. Just switch the sequence preset to a vertical one and automation blocks can produce a slideshow in a vertical aspect ratio. No need to make a new sequence, it does it for you.

Wiggle and Shake with Ease

Since Premiere Pro doesn’t have a built in wiggle preset like After Effects, you need to manually keyframe position parameters to create a wiggle-like effect and that can take ages. But withAutomation Block’s just select your click, and with one-click, you have a wiggle. You can also adjust the parameters to create subtle shakes or an earthquake-level tremors. Better yet, I created my own free custom wiggle script that works with the Transform effect so you add some blur to your shakes. After all, the whole benefit of using the Transform effect is that you can adjust the shutter angle to 180 degress to create motion blur.

Instant Animation for Captions

Animating captions shouldn't feel like scaling Mount Everest. To me, and I’m sure many video editors, it just seems ridiculous that Premiere Pro doesn’t have built-in animation presets for their captions yet. Their automatic transcription is great, but having to keyframe to create motion is too time-consuming. Automation Blocks comes with built-in keyframe animation presets like scale-in that you can apply to all your captions. First, you need to select all your captions and select “Upgrade to Graphic.” Then select all your new caption graphics and click on “Run” and you’re done. And to give your more variety in types of animations, I build my own custom script so you can have more options for animations, like move left, move right, move up, and down.

Mr. Beast inspired scale animation with the Komika typeface using the subtle scale in preset.
